Hut

Tonight I'm back to the hut. The moonrise is only after 11:30 p.m., so after sunset I have some time for night shots without moonlight.

Here is a photo of Kleestadt after sunset. The twilight is not over yet. You can still see the sunset.

Clear-Night-Filter

I took the following photos and panoramas with a clear night filter. This filters the light from the sodium vapor lights (these yellow-orange street lights). As a result, light pollution appears much less in the photo, and the sky is not bright orange. Unfortunately, the effect of the filter will continue to wane due to the switch to LED street lights. The light from the LEDs cannot be sensibly filtered because it is a wide spectrum.

To illustrate what the filter does, here are two comparison photos. The first photo is taken without a filter, the second photo with a filter. The settings of the camera are exactly the same and correspond to those with which I also took the other photos.

Overall, it was still a bit dark for me, so I illuminated two trees in white.

Moonrise

On the way back from the hut I saw the moon slowly rising. I was very surprised by the orange color, so I quickly took out the tripod and camera and took this photo.
